The end of an era is just months away, as the final Harry Potter movie (well, until J.K. Rowling relents and writes some more books) is released in July.
This is the first look trailer for The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and it features a few selected scenes from the film, including the moment in which Harry walks into the Forbidden Forest to meet Voldemort and his legion of Death Eaters.
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 was a good film, but it was always merely a scene-setting, build-up-the-tension movie in preparation for the final chapter, which is Part 2.
I cannot wait to see this final movie in the series, which will see the story finally brought to a satisfying conclusion. However, there will also be a tinge of sadness as it will signal the end of an era of magnificent storytelling.
We desperately need a new series of books of a similar quality to Harry Potter. Unfortunately it won’t be me providing them.
