The original Independence Day movie, commonly referred to as ID4 because of the 4th of July connection, is a classic of the genre. It’s big, bold, brash, and, more than anything, fun.
And now some bright spark has made a sequel, called Independence Day: Resurgence. Is it as good as the original? Better, even? In a word, no. In actual fact, it’s crap.
Movie reviewers rarely agree on a flick, but the vast majority are calling Independence Day: Resurgence a stinker. Including the Schmoes.
The setting has lost its appeal, the plot is ridiculous, and the acting is atrocious. It seems there’s nothing to save Independence Day: Resurgence from sucking.
