During my childhood He-Man was a Master of the Universe, a heroic figure who defended his planet from the forces of evil. But with this modern imagining He-Man seems one step away from gay icon.
Here He-Man, or at least his nancy boy alter ego Prince Adam, belts out the 4 Non Blondes hit “What’s Up?” complete with throbbing dance beat.
This is a bit like a car crash for me. It seems like it’s raping my childhood by killing both He-Man and 4 Non Blondes with one stone, but by the same token it’s difficult to look away.
This may be totally terrible, but I can imagine it becoming the next big club hit!
