Both immature and hilarious, this incident will probably go down in history as the most ridiculous attack on a U.S. President ever. It should be noted that, before this incident, Iraq and the US were “on solid footing.”
As an American citizen, there’s a part of me that feels appalled by the journalist’s mockery. Though, there’s another part of me that just can’t help but laugh.
Sure Bush dodged the two shoes, but this incident isn’t far from a skit on Saturday Night Live. Even the dialog exchanged is comedic! First the journalist screams, “This is a farewell kiss you dog!” and throws the shoe, then Bush responds by saying, “All I can report is it is a size 10.”
While the news anchors from this clip claim that the President didn’t suffer any injuries, I have to disagree.
For Bush, walking into a shoe store will never be the same again.
