Hilary Duff and Tyra Banks, who are both “big fans” of Gossip Girl, decided to make an appearance on the show last night. If you missed it you can catch the full episode here.
I’m not the biggest fan of Gossip Girl (or even Hilary or Tyra for that matter), but I can easily see why they would make an appearance in the show for ratings. For those that don’t know, Duff plays a “famous movie actress..hoping for a normal college experience;” not exactly a challenging role for the former Disney star.
Similarly, Tyra plays Olivia’s co-star and can be seen in the movie premiere scene in the episode. While this episode will be Tyra’s only appearance in the season, it has been confirmed that Duff will go on to be a side character for a few more.
And as if that wasn’t enough star-power for the show, Lady Gaga is also planned to perform in the season finale.
