The film studios have been churning out Christmas films for decades but funnily enough Easter movies have never really taken off. Illumination Entertainment looks to change all that with its new flick Hop.
Russell Brand voices the cutie pie rabbit who is reluctant to take his place as the next Easter Bunny. It’s kind of strange seeing Brand’s voice come out of this adorable animated creature, but I digress.
He might just have the spunk it takes to elevate this movie from mere kid pleaser to family favorite. Then again, with Alvin and the Chipmunks director Tim Hill at the helm I won’t hold my breath.
Hop hits cinemas everywhere around Easter, naturally.
