The Devil Wears Prada director Dave Frankel has reunited with screen legend Meryl Streep for a new rom-com, Hope Springs.
While Frankel has always made family-friendly fare, there’s reason to believe this flick might have a bit more spice. The subject matter of a couple (Streep and Tommy Lee Jones) looking to get the sizzle back, thanks to marriage counsellor Steve Carell, sounds daring. And HBO veteran Vanessa Taylor has penned the script, so it might actually have some teeth.
We’ll find out when Hope Springs hits American cinema screens on August 10.
