Having automatic garage doors is a nice luxury to have, but it’s always a good idea to get an expert to fit them. These people clearly didn’t do that, based solely on the state of the electricals.
The wire goes through a surge protector (a good thing), before hitting a couple of homemade splices (bad), travelling along a fence (very bad), and finally into a light socket (Oh dear, holy hell, we’re all doomed when this goes bang).
