When you watch UFC matches, it’s easy to forget the brute strength behind all of the moves. Why Chuck could have so many quick knock-outs always baffled me; weren’t the other guys punching just as hard? Apparently not.
Rather than using your arm muscles and punching straight out, putting a pivot and using your whole body can produce a much stronger effect. Sure, it’s a little “weird” (as Chuck describes), but it’s the difference between a winning and losing a fight.
