Beat boxing seems to be making an effort at becoming widely recognized as an art form. I’m not sure if it is there yet, but the fact that Blake Lewis made it all the way to the finals in American Idol is definitely a sign.
Although Blake Lewis did well in American Idol, he looks like a bloody amateur next to people like Yuri Lane.
The way this guy blends the beat boxing into the harmonica and the microphone produces one of the coolest sounds I’ve ever heard.
It might not be ready to be recorded onto a full length cd quite yet, but this guy’s talent definitely will get him somewhere. Until that time, watch this video and marvel at his awesomeness.
