This is a news video showing the May Day protests happening outside the White House in Washington DC. If only all the protesters were as sensible as these.
This was one of the peaceful May Day protests, with people merely gathering together in the one place to show their allegiance to the cause of changing the current system.
Sadly not all of the May protests were as calm and measured as this, with clashes between police and protesters in New York and Seattle to name just two.
I support the calls for mild changes to take place. There is clearly too much money swilling about at the top while the rest of us are left to fight for scraps. But let’s not sully the righteousness of the cause by turning to violence to make the point.
