Japanese “We Are The World” Video | Celebrity Impersonators Recreate Classic Song

The sappy star-powered charity single We Are The World stormed up the charts in the 80s, giving a voice to the plight of starving Africans and the hope of a united future.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, but I’m not sure this Japanese knock-off qualifies as the highest form of anything!

Instead of esteemed musicians, it’s got celebrity impersonators. From Bruce Springsteen to Michael Jackson, all the big names are there … sort of.

Lyrics at the bottom of the screen allow you to sing along. But with these thick Asian accents, I was using the text to figure out what they were singing!
