The controversy over The Tonight Show, with Conan O’Brien leaving and Jay Leno coming back, is finally starting to wind down after raging for a couple of months. But Oprah Winfrey lets Leno have the final say.
This video shows just one part of the long interview where Oprah gets all the answers from the mouth of Leno. I don’t think it’ll appease O’Brien fans but I’m hoping it’ll put an end to the whole sorry episode as I, for one, am bored of it.
There’s no doubt in my mind that Leno wanted The Tonight Show back and, at the very least, failed to consult O’Brien about what was happening. Then again, Conan has walked off with a fortune so I don’t exactly feel sorry for him.
Personally speaking, I consider both Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno to be both strange-looking, overpaid, and overrated presenters who rely on a team of scriptwriters rather than their own talent. But that’s just me.
