Here we have yet another useless invention that one can’t help but admiring. I thought playing Jenga the old fashioned way (by hand) was fun, but now I’m having second thoughts.

The Jenga pistol pay be a new invention to us, but for woodwork inventor Matthas Wandel, the concept has been around since 1994. In fact, what you see above is the second version of the original Jenga pistol.
At first glance, it’s easy to dismiss the pistol as a completely useless novelty. In the video, however, Wandel demonstrates how using the pistol can affect speeding up the times of Jenga games. From the 45 second mark onward, the game almost turns into a real-life tetris game.
