As a Republican politician, John McCain has to toe the party line of being against gay marriage, despite the fact that all that is fair and right in the world says it should be allowed.
So when he appeared as a guest on out gay comedian Ellen Degeneres’ chat show, it was obvious she was going to question him about his beliefs in that area.
Not only does McCain look painfully awkward answering questions on the subject, he also fudges his response and tries to gloss over his true beliefs about homosexuality.
Ellen makes a great point about how it took years for women and black people to get the vote. Surely now, in this day and age, we recognise everyone as equal? Not if you’re McCain obviously.
