Jon Stewart is leaving The Daily Show after an incredible run as host lasting more than 15 years. Stewart announced he was quitting when his contract is up on the show, shocking the audience present.
The Daily Show is beloved by liberals and hated by anyone to the right of center. But actually, Stewart says things like they are, criticizing anyone and everyone when they do wrong.
This led to Stewart topping a poll as the most trustworthy news source in America. For some reason people have generally stopped believing the crap spouted by Fox News and others.
I’ll be sad to see Jon Stewart go, but I’m sure Comedy Central will find a fitting replacement. And if not then at least we have Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
