This is the segment that the world’s children will never see on Sesame Street, the moment when pop star Katy Perry came to town.
It all seemed innocent enough to me. Katy wants to play with Elmo, I’m sure in an entirely innocent manner. She adapts her hit tune “Hot N Cold” to make it an educational song about opposites. I’m not seeing what the problem is.
Oh yes, there is that not too small matter of cleavage. Parents were so outraged by the sight of Katy’s bosom that the Children’s Television Workshop had little choice but to yank the segment.
