If you haven’t heard of Twitter by now then you’re surely in the minority. What started out as an internal company project turned into a worldwide phenomenon growing at a fast pace. And now Oprah Winfrey is on board it’ll no doubt go mainstream.
Those of you who have heard of Twitter but haven’t yet signed up for an account and started using it probably won’t understand this spoof rap video by Andy Milonakis. Those of us who do use the service will likely find this as funny as anything. Mainly because it’s true.
The song essentially takes the piss out of those people who feel the need to tweet about anything, no matter how small, insignificant, ordinary, or mundane that thing may be. It’s most annoying and, to be honest, a little retarded.
This is the reason I don’t tweet much – because it made me realize how boring my life was. So, instead of using Twitter all day I’m now getting out and doing stuff with my life. There’s a lesson there for all of us I think. Forget Facebook and Twitter, get out and enjoy the sun!
