Lou Reed, solo singer songwriter and member of the Velvet Underground, has died from liver disease aged 71.
What better way to pay tribute to the man that by listening to arguably his greatest song, Perfect Day.
Reed will be fondly remembered by fans of rock music, as the debut album of the Velvet Underground is now considered to be one of the most influential records of all time.
Perfect Day is by far my favorite Lou Reed song, and one of my favorite songs period. It is, in many ways, the perfect song, deceptively simple and yet filled with meaningful lyrics.
