This isn’t your typical “cute cat video.” The adorable kitty in this clip is unique because he isn’t fully feline. That is, he is the first cat to have prosthetic limbs.
No doubt, cat lovers everywhere are going to have a new story to brag about.
Had this been done on a human, it wouldn’t have worked. As stated in this video, there’s something about cats that allows their skin to bond to metal. I guess the old saying “a cat has nine lives” holds true in Oscar’s case.
My one and only concern for the cat is that the metal will have a bad reaction with the blood-cells and cause an even bigger problem than before. I know that certain amputees who have gotten prosthetic limbs were unable to keep them because of failing health risks.
