As everyone is surely aware by now This Is It is in theaters everywhere. The documentary film shows footage from the last months of Michael Jackson’s life as he prepared for his comeback/final tour, with a long stint of dates in London.

I’m not sure this can even be called a movie. It’s essentially footage never intended to be seen by anyone but Michael Jackson himself and his family and friends. But it’s now been turned into a gawpfest for us all to watch someone who recently passed away doing what he did best.
This Is It isn’t for me but then I was never a huge fan of Jackson or his music. But regardless of what I or anyone else says, Jacko’s fan will go and see this for a last look at their hero. And there’s no harm in that.
