If you’re looking to buy a new computer there’s hundreds of choices of makes and models. However, there are really only three choices of operating system – Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux. The fans of all three tend to be a vocal bunch.
Microsoft is preparing to release Windows 7 in October. This latest version of Windows is getting great reviews and should hopefully consign the nightmare beginnings of Vista to the dustbin for good. However, Apple has other ideas.
This is the latest ‘Get a Mac’ advert which is designed to tempt us all away from purchasing a PC. The main reason for getting a Mac? Because PCs give you nothing but headaches and viruses. Whereas Macs are supposedly immune from these problems.
The thing is Macs can get viruses, it’s just that there is less malware on the Web due to the smaller number of Mac users. But keep your PC safe with a firewall, an anti-virus program, and an anti-spyware program and you should keep problems such as this to a minimum.
