You’ve probably already seen quite a few videos of the unyielding tsunami which hit Japan’s east coast last week. But this is a new one which has come to light, showing the moment the tsunami actually breached the seas defenses.
As with all the other videos of the Japanese tsunami, this is both shocking and unmissable. It shows the awesome power of nature and the fragility of human life in no uncertain terms.
If it wasn’t for the fact people were actually caught up in the maelstrom you could watch it like you’d watch an effects-laden movie. As it is, it’s hard to distance yourself from the tragedy of it all. And rightly so.
I have the utmost pity for the people of Japan affected by the earthquake and tsunami. And I just hope life gets back to normal as soon as possible, though it will probably take a long, long time for many.
