Terrorist attack fears? Check. Global warming fears? Check. US economy fears? Check. Why don’t we just throw in a possible biological or nuclear attack threat in the near future from somewhere. That’ll get the American public really worked up.
It’s not that it can’t happen – it has happened and will probably happen again – it’s that they have to bring it up now. Because there just aren’t enough fears running through people yet? WTF?
Or maybe, maybe it’s because the world is actually getting colder so they know their global warming (have you noticed how it’s changed to “climate change”?) arguments are out the window. Thus they need something else to keep the fear levels up.
Ugh.
