This is the official movie trailer for Dear John, the film based on a Nicholas Sparks book that preceded The Lucky One.
With the release of The Lucky One there has been a renewed interest in other movies based on the books of Nicholas Sparks. Dear John is one, as are The Notebook, A Walk To Remember, and Message In A Bottle.
This is typical Sparks fayre, with love, longing, war, and death all making an appearance. I know they say write about what you know, but surely that doesn’t apply to every novel you write.
If you have seen The Lucky One and enjoyed it then by all means seek out Dear John. Just don’t expect much in the way of variety.
