Victorious is a new show which started yesterday on Nickelodeon in the States. It stars Victoria Justice as Tori, a performing arts high school girl who struggles with life offstage while loving life on stage.
It’s listed as a children’s sitcom, but I prefer to think of it as a cross between Fame, Glee, Hannah Montana, and High School Musical. Although it doesn’t, at first sight, appear to be as good as any of the above.
Victorious was created by Dan Schneider, the man who has already inflicted The Amanda Show, iCarly, Drake and Josh, and Zoey 101 on the world.
The pilot episode was aired for the first yesterday (March 27), with a full series beginning on April 11. It’s not my thing if I’m honest, but then I don’t think I’m the target audience (being a 30-something male).
