Serial killer Ottis Toole has been named as the murderer of Adam Walsh, 27 years after the six-year-old’s death. This video shows the announcement made by police today.
America was stunned when the young boy was abducted from a Sears department store in 1981. His severed head was found in a Florida canal weeks after his disappearance, but the rest of his remains were never found.
Murderer, rapist, and cannibal Ottis Toole repeatedly confessed, then retracted accounts of his involvement in the Adam Walsh case. Yet today police announced that they have positively identified Toole as the murderer.
As Ottis Toole died in prison in 1996, the case is now closed.
