Paul McCartney John Lennon SNL Tribute Video | “A Day in the Life” & “Give Peace a Chance”

It’s been 30 years since the world lost one of its most enduring musical stars, John Lennon. Paul McCartney recently paid tribute to his Beatles band mate with a performance on Saturday Night Live.

The American comedy sketch show seemed like an unlikely platform for the Brit to remember his friend and musical comrade. McCartney played it straight though, with moving performances of “A Day in the Life” and Lennon’s solo anthem, “Give Peace a Chance.”

Lennon might be gone, but with his impressive musical contributions he’ll certainly never be forgotten. Some three decades these songs sound just as good.
