The BBC has announced who the new Doctor Who is, with Peter Capaldi set to take over the role from Matt Smith from this Christmas onwards.
I’ll be honest and admit I don’t even watch Doctor Who any more, and haven’t done for several years. So I couldn’t care less who was picked to take on the role.
And I have to say I think the BBC made a bit too much of this whole thing, with a special show dedicated to revealing the 12th Doctor. Did someone say overkill?
As for Peter Capaldi being given the role, he’s a fantastic actor, both for his age and his reputation. Still, most of the fans seem to like him, and that’s all that really matters.
