The Galaxy Note 7 is (probably) no more. Samsung has halted production, asked carriers to stop selling the handsets, and told customers to stop using their devices.
This is a crying shame, because if it wasn’t for the risk of the battery exploding, the Galaxy Note 7 may just be the best smartphone currently on the market.
This video shows YouTuber Marques Brownlee reviewing the Galaxy Note 7 before the troubles began. And he, like so many other reviewers, is a fan.
Samsung will weather this storm, and emerge out of the other side stronger than ever. But it may take something special to win back the trust of consumers.
