Asia Argento has been accused of sexual assault. Which is all the more shocking as the actress has been at the forefront of the #MeToo movement fighting sexual assault.
Argento’s accuser is Jimmy Bennett, who starred alongside Argento in The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. In the film, Argento played Bennett’s mother.
Bennett has accused Argento of sexual assaulting him when he was 17. And Argento has denied all wrongdoing.
However, texts and photos have now emerged which adds some weight to Bennett’s claims. Either way, Argento has admitted to paying Bennett hundreds of thousands of dollars in hush money.
