Royal Guards Michael Jackson Tribute Video | Buckingham Palace Band Play ‘Thriller’

36 sec read

Another day, another very public tribute to Michael Jackson, who died after suffering a cardiac arrest on June 25. This time it’s the turn of the band of the Coldstream Guards, which just happens to be who plays outside Buckingham Palace.

This isn’t quite as well-executed or entertaining to watch as the Filipino prisoners dancing to Thriller and other Michael Jackson songs. After all, it’s just a brass band playing Thriller, but this brass band is marching up and down inside the grounds of Buckingham Palace at the time.

I wonder if they got permission to perform this version of Thriller or whether they did so without letting the royal household know. Either way, I suspect the Queen wasn’t home at the time or she might have been a little upset.

It’s now been ten days since Michael Jackson died suddenly and unexpectedly, yet we’re still seeing tributes from all corners of the globe pour in. When they’re in video form, we all get to watch them, especially when they go viral.
