This video shows a robot being tested. The AlphaDog prototype walks over different terrain and can stand up to shoving and even being knocked over. Is it just me or is this scary stuff?
AlphaDog looks like a square, metal-legged horse, and I can just imagine it sprinting toward me ready to kick my arse. Boston Dynamics are developing it as a piece of military equipment.
This reminds me of something out of The Matrix, which as we know is a documentary based on what time travelers have told us happens in the future. I kid, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
I’m all for the development of robots and androids, but there is always a danger -as detailed in more sci-fi novels and movies than I care to name – that these creations will become sentient and rise up against humanity.
The Matrix is real, I tell you!!!
