Police brutality happens a lot more than we’d like to admit, but when it gets caught on camera, all hell breaks loose. Such is the case with this year-old tape that surfaced today.
After chasing suspect Anthony Warren until he flipped his car and fell out, half-a-dozen police officers beat him before realizing that the cameras were on.
Of course, this brutal beating isn’t justified in anyway, but if you look at the 7 second mark, it’s easy to see why the police were upset. Hell, I’d be too if a maniac driver almost ran over one of my partners!
Another odd detail about this case is that, had this tape not surfaced, the cops would have gotten away with this dirty deed since the suspect Anthony Warren had no idea that he was beaten until he saw this video in his trial last March.
According to local newspaper The Birmingham News, Anthony “thought all of his injuries were sustained in the wreck.”
