Wow. That’s pretty much all I can say after watching the trailer for Django Unchained for the first time. Unfortunately saying so little doesn’t pay the bills…
Django Unchained is Quentin Tarantino’s new movie. It’s a western, his first, and owes a lot to the spaghetti western genre made on shoestring budgets by Italian directors. Hence the name.
The cast looks to be phenomenal: Jamie Foxx as the titular Django, a slave freed by a bounty hunter in the form of Christoph Waltz (from Inglourious Basterds). Oh and a little-known actor by the name of Leonardo DiCaprio also stars.
I was always going to see this movie because I’m a Tarantino fanboy, but the trailer has me more excited than I was previously. Django Unchained looks to be a stroke of genius, and it’s out Dec 25.
