When I think of super heroes I think of muscle-bound Hollywood heart throbs who can woo women and kick bad guy butt with ease. In short, I don’t think of The Office’s Rainn Wilson, the unlikely star of new action-comedy Super.
It’s precisely this quirky casting that makes Super seem so appealing. Add in indie poster child Ellen Page and the always cool Kevin Bacon and you’ve got a recipe for brilliance.
I’m crossing my fingers hard that the best bits aren’t just in the trailer, because this looks fabulous. Super hits movie screens across the United States on April 1.
