Curb Your Enthusiasm is the funniest comedy show since Seinfeld. And funnily enough it’s from the same team. In this clip from the season 7 episode titled The Bare Midriff, Jerry and Elaine even make an appearance alongside Larry David.
The problems begin when Larry decides he has a problem with his assistant showing off her belly in a short shirt. In his usual measured way Larry broaches the subject only for the assistant to take offense and leave.
There then follows a brilliant segment where Larry gets locked out and takes a pee round the side of the building. He splashes the assistant in the eye and her mother decides to throw herself off the building (for convoluted reasons).
It’s at that point that the assistant’s belly becomes a lifesaver. This is genius comedy writing from a genius show. If the rest of season 7 is as good as this then I’m looking forward to it.
