The three Paul Greengrass/Matt Damon Bourne movies are fantastic… so what have Tony Gilroy and Jeremy Renner been able to cook up for the spin-off/sequel The Bourne Legacy?
Jahns isn’t all that impressed, and his comments shadow a lot of what other reviewers have said. If you go into it wanting a new Bourne then you may be disappointed, but go into it expecting a spy thriller then it may hit the spot.
At the end of the day it doesn’t actually matter what the reviewers say, it’ll all come down to what the fans think and how much money The Bourne Legacy takes at the box office.
The previous Bourne movies will now forever be known as The Bourne Trilogy, while Legacy, assuming the series continues on, will begin a new trilogy. Probably with Renner remaining in the lead role.
