Political correctness is, generally, a good thing. It stops us all from saying really offensive things for no reason, which can only be a positive.
However, there’s definitely a case for arguing political correctness has gone too far. And that people are being condemned for saying innocent, inoffensive things these days.
This video is a good examination of that trend, with one guy throwing out an, “I’m not racist but…” before saying something that no one could ever construe as being racist.
And then he tries the same thing again without the disclaimer, and, ohmygod, whatthehell?! I’m not quite sure what the message is here, but it sure is funny.
