The Last Airbender Movie Review | Has M. Night Shyamalan Delivered The Goods?

31 sec read

Many people have been looking forward to The Last Airbender, the movie adaptation of the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender, an animated TV series which ran on Nickelodeon for many years.

M. Night Shyamalan has written and directed the big screen version. But has he managed to deliver the goods this time? It appears not, unfortunately.

This reviewer hated the movie, and I’m seeing a very negative response from most people online.

Both fans of the TV series and professional critics alike think this is a turkey of a film, with bad acting, a long-winded storyline, and bad direction. And worst of all, it doesn’t follow the animated series very well.

Oh dear. M. Night Shyamalan seems to lost his magic touch. He’s made some great films in his time, but first The Happening and now The Last Airbender has harmed his reputation.
