If you missed The Lincoln Lawyer when it was at movie theaters earlier this year, and let’s face it you probably did, now may be a good time to catch up with this courtroom drama starring Matthew McConaughey.
That’s right, Matthew McConaughey, the same Matthew McConaughey who seems to have been choosing roles of late based on whether it means he can get his top off and film in sunny climes.
The Lincoln Lawyer proves that actually he can act. And he’s ably assisted by William H. Macy, Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillipe, and Josh Lucas.
The Lincoln Lawyer didn’t do all that well at the box office, but it’s a movie a lot of people are checking out now that it’s available on DVD and streaming services online. And I don’t blame them.
If you like well-paced, well-plotted, well-acted, intelligent dramas then The Lincoln Lawyer would be a good choice this weekend.
