This week began with a controversial Sesame Street clip being pulled from the show by the Children’s Television Workshop. But what is the truth behind Katy Perry and Elmo’s meeting of minds?
This video shows what really happened, and rather than being Perry pushing the boundaries and making lewd comments, it was really all Elmo’s fault – the dirty puppet.
It was Elmo that persuaded Perry to dress provocatively, and it was Elmo that wanted to keep filming longer than was necessary. So much so that he rang Mrs. Elmo to tell her he’d be late home from work.
It just shows you can’t always believe what you see on TV, or YouTube for that matter, because it sometimes belies the truth.
