Even if she was recording her album, she could have released some singles, or did she? If so, they obviously didn't do very well. She's a great singer, and I voted for her last year, but she's failed to deliver so far. I agree that this strategy is better than the album of covers though. It takes time to produce an album of newly written material with quality producers like Ryan Tedder, Dallas Austin etc etc. I'm not sure it's completed yet... so you don't start promoting till it's close to release. Of course, if you want to release an album of covers that will be forgotten 6 months later.... then that only takes a couple of weeks. I'm not sure what anyone expected... She's been recording it in America with some of the top producers around and has taken her time to make it a good album. After releasing it here she's gonna release it in America too.
