Most supergroups are crap. Seriously. They usually comprise musicians who are bored of life in their current bands and feel the need to break out and do something different for a while.
However, Them Crooked Vultures are a little different. They are a supergroup and two of their members have other bands, but the difference is they are absolutely fantastic. Seriously, just check them out on SNL.
Them Crooked Vultures are Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) on drums, Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) on guitar and vocals, and John Paul Jones (formerly of Led Zeppelin) on bass guitar.
This video shows them performing New Fang on Saturday Night Live, and it made the show worth watching despite it being the douche that is Ashton Kutcher hosting.
