Tim Halperin may not have made it all that far in American Idol, but he has released his debut single, The Last Song. And surprisingly it’s really very good. Who’d have thought?
This isn’t my choice of genre, but it’s a pretty awesome song and Halperin can certainly sing. Better than most of the idiots who appear (and bizarrely seem to do well) on these talent shows.
The video for The Last Song was made on a paltry budget of just $8,000, all of which was donated by family, friends, and fans. But you wouldn’t know how little it cost from watching it.
The Last Song makes me realize a couple of things: Talent will eventually find its way to the top, and the money record companies spend on music videos is way over the top.
