This is Tim Minchin performing Lullaby, a song in which he attempts to persuade his daughter to go to sleep. With funny consequences.
I’m pretty sure this video and the song will get some hate from some quarters. Minchin is a strange looking fellow who writes funny songs which touch on sometimes-awkward subject matters. And that will be enough for some people to moan.
The fact is, however, that Minchin is hilarious and clearly multi-talented. Like Bill Bailey before him, not only is he funny as a stand-up comedian, he can also play a ton of instruments to a fantastic level. That takes an innate awesomeness that most of us just don’t possess.
If you like this then you should check out other videos of Minchin singing. He may be an acquired taste but once acquired it’s hard to let go.
