Pockets are getting tight even in the soap opera universe, and big channels like ABC are considering cutting some of their soaps. Even long running All My Children could be up on the chopping block.
Wow, this certainly makes for interesting news. Though I suppose it’s one big circle, isn’t it?
Economy is low, so more stay at home parents get jobs or people get second jobs. That means fewer viewers. That means less impact for advertisers who then tighten their finances.
So on and so forth. While I never watched All My Children, I grew up with Days of Our Lives. It’ll be sad to see any of them go.
