If you’re a little confused: November 5th is Guy Fawkes Day and commemorates the spoiling of a Catholics plot to blow up the House of Lords and depose the Protestant King James I.
Yeah. Somehow I don’t think Anonymous are wearing those masks because they are Catholic. But if it makes you feel better…
They’ve claimed attacking websites including PayPal, antivirus software-maker Symantec, ImageShack, NBC, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and the website for an Australian government program for disabled people.
That doesn’t sound quite like Anonymous to me – and it doesn’t to some other people, either. Some people are debating about whether this is an anti-Anonymous stunt…
