Watch Beautiful Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse Time Lapse Video | December 21, 2010

For the first time in 372 years, a lunar eclipse has occurred on the winter solstice. This video is a time lapse of the beautiful event.

There is nothing quite like seeing the mood turned blood red – especially when it just so happens to occur on an otherwise significant night like the solstice.

I, of course, somehow managed to completely forget and didn’t get to witness it in person. But that is just one of the many reasons I like technology.

Sure, it’s not quite as nice as seeing it for yourself, but at least I didn’t miss out on it completely.
