It’s only been 2 years since Dane Cook’s last stand-up special, but the man has been through a lot. In this latest special “ISolated INcident,” Dane addresses the passing of both of his parents and even talks about all of his haters.
The jokes are still there, but this time they’re more personal. And, in my opinion, that makes them even better.
If you asked me if I was a Dane Cook fan 4 years ago, I probably would have been offended. At the time, the man had a rock star status and it seemed as if all of his jokes were overshadowed by his douchebag stage persona.
But that was then. After watching this latest special, I’ve finally come to appreciate his unique sense of humor. Hopefully his future material will continue this serious-yet-hilarious edgy trend.
